First Post with Word 2007

I’m checking out Joe Friend’s work to make Word 2007 a good blog post editor. So far what I've noticed is that setting it up was harder than I expected, in part because in order to find the Metaweblog API for blogs.msdn.com I had to RAS into corpnet over the weekend (always a wonderful experience) to get to the internal documentation page. Then there was the error message that kept popping up when I tried to publish the post to blogs.msdn.com telling me that I had put in the wrong password. But after some fiddling around, I got it to work. I can even round-trip (which I did with this post).

As always with beta software, caveat emptor, but so far I'm liking Office 2007 beta 2.

    So how exactly did you get hands on Beta2? It's not available to folks outside MSFT yet .. is it? :)

    Unless you're a registered beta tester or get it through something like MSDN, it's not available. I got it becaues I'm a Microsoft employee.
