We don't ALL Lie to our Customers !
A team mate of mine recently posted about lying to his event attendees.
I just want to go on the record for MY North Eastern USA Event Attendees that most of the MSDN Events guys, and certainly those on the EAST COAST - don't indulge in this practice.
"I don't know", and "I can't say" are honest ways not to jeopardize ones job.
For the record........
Lying to customers = BAD, being truthful = GOOD !

I have attended several events over the past few years that Joe has presided over and I can safely state that he doesn't lie to his customers - he just drowns them with MSFT "swag" like t-shirts, books, CDs, pens, etc.. which are equally painful.. ;-)

I think you're kidding, Joe, but just to make sure, I was, too - I didn't lie to anybody.
In other words, I lied about the lying :) - Anonymous

You could always turn Mr. Blyths statement to truth. Do a good security audit of Notepad (especially that icon -- who know what back doors that will open?) and mark the new notepad as safe! - Anonymous
