TechNet Magazine: June 2010 Issue
I’ve been a little slack in blogging lately but it’s always busy in the lead up to the end of the financial year. But I wanted to start the new financial year off right with sharing some great information around Cloud that was made available in the June 2010 issue of TechNet Magazine. Cloud Computing is on everyone’s mind and Microsoft has been making plenty of noise in this space recently. A lot of the questions I get from IT Pro’s is about Securing the cloud and the implications for data location. Well the June Issue of TechNet Magazine goes into some detail about this important topic. Check out some of the highlights below.
- Cloud Security: Managing the Cloud with Windows Intune - Windows Intune is a new cloud based PC management that helps you keep your existing PC’s secure and up to date. In this article Paul goes into some detail about what this means. I’ll go into more detail in a future blog post.
- Compliance Reporting: First Step in Controlling Client Cloud Access – In this article Dan Griffin and Lee Walker go in to detail about the first logical step in extending enterprise access into the Cloud.
- Active Directory Federation Services 2.0: Open Doors to the Cloud – In this article Jeffrey Schwartz goes into some details about the new ADFS 2.0 will increase cloud security.
I’ve just higlighted 3 articles but of course there is much more in this issue that is worth a read. If you are thinking about Cloud and what it means it’s a good place to start along with Microsoft’s Cloud site.
