Over the lest few weeks I’ve been travelling around the place talking about Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2.  I always get asked to supply the slides for each session I do so i thought it was time to upload a bunch of these decks because it’s been awhile and as you all know I’ve done quite a lot of sessions over the last little while. 7So with please see below for the downloads.  And thanks to my 25GB of storage on Windows Live SkyDrive it’s easy  to share these.

    Jeff, Great session in Melbourne thanks. I am trying to use the W7 WAIK to create an unattended install that
  • prompts for the computer name (and nothing else)
  • joins the computer to the domain I have seen several blog posts that say this seemingly common scenario isnt achieveable as the domain join occurs prior to the user being prompted for the name. Surely that isnt true? Secondly, it seems that if you want to be prompted for the computer name, you also need to create a local user account, is there any way around that?
