Welcome back from TechEd and preparing for R2
Welcome back from TechEd! It's been a couple of weeks since we returned to the office,
equipped with loads of great information about the latest releases and deep-dive training.
It doesn’t stop here though, and whether or not you attended TechEd, there's plenty
of great content out there for you to take advantage of. Your first stop should be Channel 9,
where you can explore sessions from TechEd, including the recordings and slide decks.
Be sure to check out The Modern Datacentre Revisited – R2 to the Max!, the IT Professional
Kick-Off - this demo heavy session explains where you can see breakthrough capabilities. In
the Closing Presentation: Cloud Computing: Own Tomorrow, Scott Guthrie brings his energy
energy to share Microsoft’s vision for the cloud, and his perspective on the cloud in general.
Other top-rated sessions include:
- Windows 8 – Black Belt Troubleshooting – Sami Laiho
- Inside Office 365 – Alistair Speirs, Ben Walters
- Hyper-V: What’s New in Windows Server 2012 R2 - Benjamin Armstrong
- Storage Spaces: What’s New in Windows Server 2012 R2 – Rick Claus
We asked some of our favourite speakers and track owners from TechEd 2013
to cherry-pick their top resources – all with a view to helping you continue to learn and
connect post event. You can find them on the TechEd website here.
If you haven’t already, be sure to check out Jeffa’s blog, where he takes us through
the ‘Secret Sauce’ of tech behind TechEd – a great behind the scenes look into how we
build the infrastructure for the event. He also did a Celebrating 20 years retrospective, looking at
how far we've come since 1994...not to mention how many cans of soft drink we manage to guzzle.
Happy watching and reading!
Cheers,
Katherine.
