@ Dileepa We are working on the ability to open your docs online in your browser with Office Live Workspace (this has alot more cool things to it other than just opening docs).  One of them is the ability to save directly from an Office app to your Office Live Workspace online.  Have a read about it at:  http://workspace.officelive.com/ Its currently a US Beta at the moment.

@Ash Singh I know what you mean about mapping as a network drive, I think this would be a really cool feature.  I have raised this with the product team and they have indicated its something they are working on

I got it working by resigning into my live account. Just clicking on the already signed in Live account resulted in the Beta sevice message!

This is great, I have found a lot of uses for it with my business already, especially sharing documents among several people in different cities! Thanks Deeps

Ridiculously overdue but I am impressed. The ability to play a little game while you wait for your upload to finish is a nice touch. You should be able to open your docs online though AND be able to share docs/files with non-Windows Live users.

It says free 5GB, and yet the terms and conditions state there will be an undefined charge and credit card details must be kept up to date. So is this free 5GB a trial, and there will be a charge later? If so how much?

Kind of amazing, really, that so many people are having trouble even creating an account to use Skydrive.  There are a bunch of comments posted on their blog, and it doesn't look to have even been acknowledged.
