Composite Rich Internet Application Architecture, what is your take on it?

In a recent webcast Murray and I introduced the Composite Rich Internet Application (CRIA). As you can see we introduced another four letter acronym (since all the 3 letter ones were already take ;-)) and we explain the implementation of such an application using the Image Search Demo Jared Bienz (THANK YOU :-)) provided us with. The sample uses Silverlight and the PrismAG framework to implement a CRIA.

While CRIA is a very interesting technique for developing Rich Internet Applications, the pros and cons should be weighed in to decide if a CRIA is providing additional value to justify the increased investment in flexibility and complexity that comes with it.

I am interested to hear your experiences developing Rich Internet Applications, do you find it useful to adhere to the Composite Application Pattern? Good examples, or bad? Or is this something academic that you don't believe in?
