Just a reminder that I'll be doing an “Exchange 2003 SP1 Overview“ webcast tomorrow:
Wednesday, June 16, 2004: 10:00 AM Pacific time (Greenwich mean time - 7 hours)
This Support WebCast session introduces Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 Service Pack 1 (SP1). It talks about the various changes that are included in SP1 and the benefits of installing SP1. The session also briefly introduces some of the Web release tools that will be released at the same time as SP1.

Can anyone fill me in on why I must have NNTP installed and enabled in order to apply SP1? - Anonymous

NNTP being installed is a prerequisite for any run of Exchange 2003 setup/update. This is because the NNTP core functionality actually ships with Windows and Exchange merely utilizes and adds to it. In order to register the Exchange NNTP updates for SP1, the core functionality must also be installed. This is the same reasoning that also requires Windows SMTP be installed.
Hope it helps!
