The SOA Road Less Traveled
This caught my eye, an article in Tech Target on Microsoft's approach to SOA, entitled "Microsoft: The SOA road less traveled" . It talks about the role of various Microsoft products and technologies, including BizTalk Server, and Widnows Communication Foundation (WCF) in building apps and systems according to service-oriented architecture (SOA) approach.
"Less traveled" is a reference to the Robert Frost poem, The Road Not Taken. What a coincidence - this is the third time in the past 24 hours that somebody or something mentioned or referenced Robert Frost.
In the context of the article, the author uses "less traveled" to say that Microsoft's approach to SOA infrastructure is quite different than the approach taken by "other" vendors like IBM, BEA or Software AG.
