Just got my ISO/IEC 14882:2011(E) C++ Specification, Exciting!

MH900115918Oh boy!  Finally got a few minutes to do some reading, and what do I choose? http://www.cracked.com?  No, I want to read the C++ specification and see if I can find any errors.  But I won’t.

Since Microsoft contributes to the creation of the specification we get access to the spec for no cost to the employees.  This is a benefit that I am pretty certain no everyone takes advantage of, but I am!

What kind of goodies are there in the spec? There are a lot of very focused  examples and definitions, but generally it is pretty dry reading.  No pictures or jokes that I can find, and definitely no Easter Eggs.

If you are attending college, taking ANY classes, not just Computer Science, it is likely your library can get you access to this standard, and I would recommend that you take a look at it.  Often it easier to figure out how things work directly from the source than it is through the many sources, like me, on the web.

Terms and Definitions, for example there are a four ways you can define argument, apparently computer science people are argumentative. But seriously,
