In Windows 8.1 store how do I find a specific category of Apps?
When I use the new Windows 8.1 Store, just how do I find App categories? This is easy, simply swipe down from the top and you will see an Bar at the top appear, the second screen below this one is what the Store app looked like on July 30, 2013
What the Store might look just before you found this blog, it is an image from my US based machine on July 30, 2013:
That’s it.

Dude, you do realize that many of us are using desktop computers, right? There is no "swipe" with a mouse. Having said that, where the "" are the categories now?Anonymous

There is a scroll bar at the bottom. As to certain category like in Windows 8 right click with your mouse on the home screen shown and you will be presented with categories galore!Anonymous

This is horrible. I'm using W8.1 on a work tablet. Now there's no way to find productivity, security, or business apps. I have to sift through 40 stupid games and see Facebook everytime.Anonymous

2StepsBack, Make sure to use the "right" click when you are on the store page, that will show the drop down app bar shown in the first image. I checked the security category and was able to find only security apps doing it that way.
