Microsoft Shares Access to Top Talent

One of the programs I look after at Microsoft Australia is Students To Business. This initiative seeks to help graduating students find employment with those companies that align with their passions the best. Companies looking for graduates keen to work with Microsoft technologies can sign up to find students who are enthusiastic about getting into the Microsoft stack, whether it be IT professional work like networking, system administration and the like, or being a developer or designer creating the next big software solution – online, offline, mobile or otherwise.

Both students and companies can find out more information and sign up to the program at https://s2bprogram.com/apac and I encourage you to do so.

However, that’s not the main thrust of my post today. I received the following email and am asking for your help in getting an understanding of what the state of play is in Australia. If you have a spare few minutes, please fill out the survey and help us help you.

Help us understand your recruitment requirements, please take ten minutes to complete a simple online survey that will help us improve the Microsoft Students to Business (S2B) program and better understand your business needs.

Throughout the year, Microsoft’s Academic Team empowers faculty to teach Microsoft technologies in-class, equips students with free access to Microsoft software, and innovative activities using our newest technologies.

With Microsoft Students to Business you can find these qualified students in your community. Only through S2B, will your job opportunities be promoted to these most passionate tech savvy students. Your usage of the S2B program will also help Microsoft prioritize and communicate to colleges and universities the set of skills and competencies needed to fuel the growth and ensure employability for the next generation of graduates.

Thank you for your participation,

You don’t have to be signed up to S2B to participate in the survey – in fact, might even be better for us if you’re not so we can find out why and improve it even more.
