Windows 7: Testing Visual Basic 6.0 on Windows XP Mode
Installed Virtual PC for Windows 7 and Windows XP Mode (from here) and though I give it a try using Integration Features with Visual Basic 6.0.
After VPC and XP Mode was installed you’ll get two new menu items and one folder for integrated apps
If you click Windows XP Mode your image is started
Looks pretty much like any VPC
Under Tools Menu make sure you Enable Integration Feature. Put the VS6.0 install DVD into the computer DVD player and you are set to go.
Going back to your Windows 7 start menu it now looks like this when the setup is done.
Click Visual Basic 6.0 icon and accept to close
Visual Basic will be visually opened like any other program installed directly into Windows 7. Sweet!
