WGF11 Blend

This automated test verifies D3D graphics driver/hardware conformance for query and other asynchronous features that are not specifically tested elsewhere.

Specifically, this test features the following characteristics:

  • Quad rendered to render target

  • Each RT pixel tested programmatically against expected value

  • Different gradients rendered to RT for each blend element (destination, source, second source)

  • Blend modes cycled independently and in tandem for color and alpha

  • RT formats cycled, to find issues with clamping and precision

  • Cycle number of RTs used and with blending enabled

  • Different RT formats used in RT indices, to test independent clamping and precision

This topic applies to the following test jobs:

  • WGF11 Blend

  • WGF11 Blend - LogicOps

  • WGF11 Blend - LogicOps (WoW64)

  • WGF11 Blend (D3D10 HW Only)

Troubleshooting

For troubleshooting information, see Troubleshooting Device.Graphics Testing.

The test might return SKIP if it is run with a feature level that doesn't support the feature being tested. The test might return BLOCKED if there is an uncaught exception (framework catches it at the end and logs it). To review test details, review the test log from the Windows HCK Manager.
