GenerateManifestBase.AddAssemblyNameFromItem Method

This API supports the .NET Framework infrastructure and is not intended to be used directly from your code.

Adds an assembly reference to the manifest, based on the specified item and the assembly reference type.

MSBuild is now included in Visual Studio instead of the .NET Framework. You can use MSBuild 12.0 side-by-side with versions previously deployed with the .NET Framework.For more information, see What's New in MSBuild 12.0.

Parameters

• item
  Type: Microsoft.Build.Framework.ITaskItem

  The item from which to create an assembly reference to add to the manifest.

• referenceType
  Type: Microsoft.Build.Tasks.Deployment.ManifestUtilities.AssemblyReferenceType

  The assembly reference type.

Return Value

Type: Microsoft.Build.Tasks.Deployment.ManifestUtilities.AssemblyReference
The assembly reference that was added to the manifest.
