Important
Lync Web App does not support instant messaging (IM) and presence. If you plan to reinstall Office Communicator Web Access (2007 R2 release) to support IM and presence, or if you are migrating to Lync Server 2010 and have Lync Server 2010 deployed, it is important that you do not run the Unprep steps during decommissioning to remove objects and attributes from Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS). Running the Unprep steps will remove needed attributes, groups settings and permissions required for Lync Server 2010. Additionally, the Active Directory schema for Office Communicator 2007 R2 is a prerequisite for deploying Office Communicator Web Access (2007 R2 release).
