To create a host record for a Communications Web Access server

  1. Log on to the DNS Server as a member of the Domain Administrators group.
  2. In the DNS snap-in, expand the name of the DNS server, expand Forward Lookup Zones, right-click the name of your domain, and then click New Host (A or AAAA).
  3. In the New Host dialog box enter the host name of the Communicator Web Access Web site (for example, cwa) in the Name box; make sure that the URL for that site (for example, cwa.litwareinc.com) appears in the Fully qualified domain name box.
  4. Type the IP address for the server in the IP address box and then click Add Host.
