MPI_File_sync functie
Hiermee worden alle vorige schrijfbewerkingen overgebracht naar het opslagapparaat.

Bestandsingang.
Retourwaarde
Retourneert MPI_SUCCESS bij succes. Anders is de retourwaarde een foutcode.
In Fortran wordt de retourwaarde opgeslagen in de parameter IERROR .
