Multiparty private offers overview

Multiparty private offers empower partners to sell collaboratively through an ecosystem made up of more than 400,000 partners. Multiparty private offers function similarly to private offers, but they're sold to the customer via their channel partner. The market estimates that one-third of cloud marketplace business will rely on resellers.

As with private offers, customers can negotiate terms and conditions and pricing, and experience simplified purchasing through the marketplace. For customers that have an Azure cloud consumption commitment, the entire purchase counts toward their commitment when they buy solutions that are eligible for Azure IP co-sell and helps partners land bigger sales.

Multiparty private offers are available to customers in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada.

How it works

The process of creating and executing multiparty private offers is:

  • Collaborate: ISV and channel partners work together to identify the right solution for the customer and negotiate terms. The ISV extends a private offer to the channel partner, where the channel partner adds their details to create the multiparty private offer.
  • Sell: The channel partner sends the offer to the customer. The customer accepts and purchases in the same way as a private offer that they would procure from an ISV. For customers with an Azure consumption commitment, eligible purchases count toward their commitment to help them maximize their cloud investments.
  • Payment and payouts: Microsoft manages the collection and payment process to ensure that partners are paid accordingly.
