Type.IsArrayImpl Method

Microsoft Silverlight will reach end of support after October 2021. Learn more.

When overridden in a derived class, implements the IsArray property and determines whether the Type is an array.

Namespace:  System
Assembly:  mscorlib (in mscorlib.dll)

Syntax

'Declaration
Protected MustOverride Function IsArrayImpl As Boolean
protected abstract bool IsArrayImpl()

Return Value

Type: System.Boolean
true if the Type is an array; otherwise, false.

Remarks

An instance of the Array class must return false because it is an object, not an array.

In Silverlight, you cannot derive new classes from Type.
