IIS Web Site Configuration

Applies To: Windows Server 2008

Configuration for an Internet Information Services (IIS) Web site must include a unique site name, site ID, and a separate binding for each protocol that the site uses. You can specify the maximum number of connections, maximum bandwidth, and connection time-out settings for the site. You can also configure site-related logging information, including the logging of failed requests. While you can specify default values for the site's applications and virtual directories, individual application or virtual directory settings can override these defaults.
