Modify WINS logging properties

To modify WINS logging properties
Open WINS.
In the console tree, click the applicable WINS server.
Where?
- WINS/applicable WINS server
On the Action menu, click Properties.
Click the Advanced tab.
Select the Log detailed events to Windows event log check box.
Notes
To open WINS, click Start, click Control Panel, double-click Administrative Tools, and then double-click WINS.
When Log detailed events to Windows event log is checked, WINS logs additional detailed information to the system event log, which can be viewed by using Event Viewer. Because this feature can degrade system performance when enabled, it is turned off by default.
