Connect to the Internet by using PPPoE

To connect to the Internet by using PPPoE

Open Routing and Remote Access.
In the console tree, click Ports.

- Routing and Remote Access/ServerName/Ports
Verify that the PPPoE adapter appears as a port.
In the console tree, right-click Network Interfaces, click New Demand-dial Interface, and follow the steps of the Demand Dial Interface wizard.
In Connection Type, click Connect using PPP over Ethernet (PPPoE).
Complete the wizard.

Notes

To perform this procedure, you must be a member of the Administrators group. As a security best practice, consider using the Run As command rather than logging on with administrative credentials. If you have logged on with administrative credentials, you can also open Routing and Remote Access by clicking Start, clicking Control Panel, double-clicking Administrative Tools, and then double-clicking Routing and Remote Access. The PPPoE adapter should appear as a port by default.
Any interface you create using the Demand-Dial Interface Wizard appears under Network Interfaces.
