postMessage method

Asynchronously posts a message to the web worker thread.

Note  These APIs can only be used with F12 developer tools and the Diagnostics Script Engine, and can't be called from JavaScript.

 

 

Syntax

DiagnosticsWebWorker.postMessage(type, message);

Parameters

  • type [in]
    Type: DOMString

  • message [in]
    Type: DOMString

Return value

This method does not return a value.

Remarks

The message is received by the WebWorkerDiagnosticsDiagnostics object in the DiagnosticsWebWorker object model.
