The Lower Binding Interface for Virtual WiFi

Important  The Native 802.11 Wireless LAN interface is deprecated in Windows 10 and later. Please use the WLAN Device Driver Interface (WDI) instead. For more information about WDI, see WLAN Universal Windows driver model.

Virtual WiFi introduces a new lower binding interface called "vwifi". An 802.11 miniport driver that supports Virtual WiFi must use this value in the LowerRange entry of its Ndi\Interfaces key.

The following is an example of the changes that would be made in the INF file to support the Virtual WiFi lower binding interface.

[sample.reg]
HKR, Ndi\Interfaces, LowerRange, 0, "wlan,ethernet,vwifi"
