This method plays a ring on the operating system default audio device or on the RTC default audio device.

HRESULT PlayRing(RTC_RING_TYPEenType,VARIANT_BOOLbPlay);

Parameters

• enType
  [in] An RTC_RING_TYPE enumeration value specifying the type of sound rendered.

• bPlay
  [in] VARIANT_TRUE to play a ring.

  VARIANT_FALSE to stop the currently rendered ring.

Return Values

This method can return an RTC_E_ constant.

Requirements

OS Versions: Windows CE .NET 4.0 and later.
Header: Rtccore.h, Rtccore.idl.
Link Library: Uuid.lib.
