Sample CEPC Setup (Windows CE 5.0)

The sample CEPC setup presented in the following table was used to help test the practicality of each of the CEPC How-to Topics included in Windows CE Help. For more information, see How-to Topics.

You can use this sample CEPC setup as a basis for setting up your CEPC. The configuration of your CEPC may vary depending on the features you want to evaluate.

The following table shows the sample CEPC setup.

Ethernet card Linksys LNEPCI2T**

EtherPCI Lan Card II 10BaseT**

Required for Ethernet downloading and debugging.
Floppy disk drive 3.5-inch Required for creating a boot floppy disk.

IDE hard disk drive IBM hard disk drive** Required for persistent storage.
Memory 64 MB SDRAM, PC100 or PC133, 3.3 V Required.
Microprocessor AMD Duron 900 MHz** Required.
Motherboard ASUS A7A133 Socket A motherboard** Required.
PC Card reader Actiontec PC750 PC Card Reader** Optional.
Power supply Any power supply suitable for your microprocessor and motherboard. Required.
Serial ports COM1 for debug serial output.

COM2 for run-time image download.

Recommended for serial debug output. COM1 reports serial debug output. For more information, see Configuring HyperTerminal for BSPs.

Required for run-time image download if you do not have an Ethernet card. COM2 is the default serial port to use for run-time image download.

USB controller Onboard the ASUS A7A133 Socket A motherboard Optional.
Video card 3Dlabs Oxygen VX1 PCI 32 MB** Required.
