Viewing a Sample of Oobe.xml (Standard 7 SP1)

A sample of Oobe.xml is provided with Windows Embedded Standard 7 Toolkit in the \Samples directory. This sample uses the fictitious company Fabrikam and Fabrikam graphics and offers throughout the XML.

To view the sample files in Windows Welcome and the Welcome Center
Copy the %PROGRAMFILES%\Windows Embedded Standard 7\Samples\OOBE\INFO folder to %WINDIR%\System32\Oobe.
Copy the %PROGRAMFILES%\Windows Embedded Standard 7\Samples\OOBE\Fabrikam folder to the root of drive C, where C: is the drive where you installed Standard 7.
To view Windows Welcome with the sample content
On the taskbar, choose Start, point to All Programs, and then choose Accessories.
Right-click the command-prompt shortcut and choose Run as administrator.
In the User Account Control dialog box, choose Accept.
Locate %WINDIR%\System32\Sysprep.
Run
sysprep /oobe.Restart the computer.
To view the Welcome Center with the sample content
On the taskbar, choose Start, point to Control Panel, and then choose System and Maintenance.
Start Welcome Center.
To use this sample in a production environment, replace the Fabrikam content with your company's content.
