Configure Cluster Communication
You must configure cluster communication before you can create a cluster. For Microsoft Application Center 2000 (Application Center) clusters to function properly, you must establish two types of communication: communication with clients and communication with cluster members. To establish communication with clients, first you must decide how to load balance client requests across the cluster. To load balance the incoming client requests, Application Center provides seamless integration with Network Load Balancing (NLB) and is compatible with third-party load balancing devices.
You must configure cluster communication so that Application Center can properly send management requests between members. Cluster management communication can include synchronization and cluster administration requests.
