Data Type: String

Specifies the action to take when removing or renaming a site.

The following table shows the possible values for this parameter.

Error	Meaning
Default	Completely removes the site from the server and deletes all metadata, lists, and folders.
Merge	Deletes the site-specific information only. The subsite is converted into a folder on the parent site, maintaining folders and documents that are contained within the subsite.
Structure	Same meaning and behavior as the Merge value.

Note

When Merge or Structure is specified, the operation fails and an error message is returned if the site being merged contains any SharePoint lists, surveys, discussion boards, or document libraries.
