Term.Owner Property

Gets or sets the user who is responsible for the current Term object.

Valid user name for Term owner

Exceptions

Exception Condition
UnauthorizedAccessException

The current user has insufficient permissions to perform this operation.

TermStoreOperationException

This operation is invalid in the orphaned terms TermSet. The operation failed.

ArgumentNullException

The user name is a null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic) or not empty.

ArgumentException

The user name is too long

ArgumentException

The user name does not exist.

Remarks

The owner must not be empty or a null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic), and must be a valid user name. The current user must have TaxonomyRights.EditTerm permission to set this property. Call the CommitAll() method to save this change to the database.
