Classes Modified by Exchange 2003

The topics in this section contain the modifications that Microsoft® Exchange Server 2003 makes to existing Active Directory® directory service classes when you install Exchange Server 2003.

The following table lists the modified classes.

Name	Description
Address-Book-Container Class	Container that holds members of an address book view.
Computer Class	Represents a computer account in the domain.
Contact Class	Contains information about a person or company that you may need to contact on a regular basis.
Container Class	A class used to hold other classes.
Display-Template Class	Specifies information for an Address Template.
Domain-DNS Class	Windows NT domain with DNS-based (DC=) naming.
DSA Class	Directory service only uses the subclass MSFT-DSA.
Group Class	Stores a list of user names. Used to apply security principals on resources.
Group-Of-Names Class	Used to define entries representing an unordered set of names that represent individual objects or other groups of names.
Mail-Recipient Class	Stores e-mail configuration information.

NTDS-DSA Class	Represents the Active Directory DSA process on the server.
Organizational-Person Class	Contains organizational information about a user.
Organizational-Unit Class	A container for storing users, computers, and other account objects.
Sam-Domain Class	Auxiliary class holding common properties for Windows NT domains.
Server Class	Represents a server computer within a site.
Site Class	A container for storing server objects. Represents a physical location containing computers. Used to manage replication.
User Class	Used to store information about an employee or contractor who works for an organization. Can also be applied to long-term visitors.
