(USA) Enter physical requirements for job templates and jobs

You can enter physical requirements for job templates or for specific jobs. You also can copy the information from a job template to a job.

The physical requirements information that you can enter includes:

  • Physical activities, such as frequent climbing, reaching, or repetitive motions.

  • Physical requirements to indicate how strenuous the work is.

  • Visual acuity to specify the range of sight required.

  • Working conditions, such as tolerance for warm or cold temperatures and indoor and outdoor environments.

Enter physical requirements for a job template

  1. Click Human resources > Setup > Organization > Job templates.

  2. Select a job template, and then click ADA > Setup requirements.

  3. On the Physical activity tab, select the relevant requirements for physical motion. When you select a setup requirement, a brief description is displayed in the top part of the form.

  4. On the Physical requirement tab, specify a level of exertion, such as None, Sedentary work, Light work, Medium work, Heavy work, or Very heavy work.

  5. On the Visual acuity tab, specify the range of sight required, such as None, Close visual acuity, Visual acuity - machines, Visual acuity - equipment, or Visual acuity - accuracy.

  6. On the Conditions tab, select tolerance requirements for working conditions.

  7. Close the form.

Record physical requirements for a job

  1. Click Human resources > Common > Organization > Jobs.

  2. Select a job, and then on the Action Pane, click ADA > Setup requirements.

  3. On the Physical activity tab, select the relevant requirements for physical motion.

  4. On the Physical requirement tab, specify a level of exertion, such as None, Sedentary work, Light work, Medium work, Heavy work, or Very heavy work.

  5. On the Visual acuity tab, specify the range of sight required, such as None, Close visual acuity, Visual acuity - machines, Visual acuity - equipment, or Visual acuity - accuracy.

  6. On the Conditions tab, select tolerance requirements for working conditions.

  7. Close the form.

Copy physical requirements from a job template to a job

  1. Click Human resources > Common > Organization > Jobs.

  2. Select the job to copy information to, and then on the Action Pane, click Copy from > Copy from template.

  3. In the Job template field, select the job template to copy information from.

  4. In the Copy field group, select ADA.

  5. Close the form.

Note

After you copy the information, you can then modify it to fit the job.
