Set up card payment methods for stores (Retail essentials)

This topic explains how to set up card payment methods so that a store can accept debit cards, credit cards, and other card types as payment for purchases. Before you can set up cards as a payment method, you must set up payment methods for stores. For information about how to set up store payment methods, see Set up store payment methods (Retail Essentials).

In Retail essentials, the form that you use to complete this task includes a subset of the controls that are available for other configurations of Retail. If a topic about this form describes controls that you don't see, it may be because you’re using Retail essentials.
To set up specific credit cards, debit cards, and other card payments for a store, follow these steps:
Click Retail essentials > Channels > Retail stores.
In the Retail stores list, double-click the store to set up cards for.
In the Stores form, on the Action Pane, on the Set up tab, in the Set up group, click Payment methods.
In the Payment methods form, click New.
On the General FastTab, in the Payment method field, select Cards.
In the Terms of payment field, select Credit card.
On the menu at the top of the form, click Card setup.
In the Card setup form, click New to create a new card. Enter the card name, and then select other appropriate setup options for the card type.
