Add or modify an employment affiliation

You can add or modify a worker’s employment affiliation in the following ways:

  • Hire a person – When you hire a person, and subsequently create a worker record for the person, you must enter their employment start date and specify a legal entity. For more information, see Key tasks: Workers.

  • Update a worker’s employment details – You can use the Worker form to manually update a worker’s employment details.

  • Terminate a worker’s employment – When you terminate a worker’s employment, you end that worker’s employment affiliations and position assignments. For more information, see Terminate employment.

Add an employment affiliation

  1. Click Human resources > Common > Workers > Workers.

  2. Select a worker.

  3. On the Action Pane, click Edit.

  4. In the left pane, click Employment.

  5. On the Employment details FastTab, click New.

  6. Select the company to affiliate to the worker.

  7. Select a worker type to indicate the type of employment that the worker will have with the company that you selected in step six.

  8. Enter the start date for the worker’s employment with the company that you selected in step 6.

  9. Click Create employment.

Modify an employment affiliation

  1. Click Human resources > Common > Workers > Workers.

  2. Select a worker.

  3. On the Action Pane, click Edit.

  4. In the left pane, click Employment.

  5. On the Employment details FastTab, click Edit.

  6. Modify the starting or ending date and time for the worker’s employment.

  7. Click Update employment.
