Usage

'Usage
Dim soapVersion As Soap
Dim returnValue As String
Dim sendSecurityFilter1 As SendSecurityFilter
returnValue = sendSecurityFilter1.GetRemoteActor(soapVersion)

Syntax

'Declaration
Public Overridable Function GetRemoteActor( _
    ByVal soapVersion As Soap _
) As String
public virtual string GetRemoteActor(

);
public:
virtual String^ GetRemoteActor(

);
public virtual System.String GetRemoteActor(
    Soap soapVersion
);
public function GetRemoteActor(
     soapVersion : Soap
) : String;

Parameters

  • soapVersion
    A Soap that represents the version of the SOAP protocol that is being used.

Return Value

The actor attribute on the Security SOAP header for the outgoing SOAP message to which this filter applies.

Remarks

When the outgoing SOAP message is being filtered by a client, then the GetRemoteActor method gets the value of the ClientActor property for policy assertions; otherwise it is the value of the ServiceActor property. The IsClient parameter to the SendSecurityFilter determines whether the SOAP message is sent by a client or a Web service.
