Adding Members to the CatalogPropertyContentEditors Group
For the latest version of Commerce Server 2007 Help, see the Microsoft Web site.
Follow these steps to add members to the CatalogPropertyContentEditors group. The members that you add to this group have permissions to edit properties in the Catalog System.
To add members to the CatalogPropertyContentEditors group
Click Start, click Run, type azman.msc, and then click OK.
In the Authorization Manager screen, right-click Authorization Manager, and then click Open Authorization Store.
In the Open Authorization Store dialog box, click Browse and move to where the authorization policy for your Catalog Web service is located, for example, <drive>:\Inetpub\wwwroot\CatalogWebService.
Select CatalogAuthorizationStore.xml, click Open, and then in the Open Authorization Store dialog box, click OK.
Expand the Authorization Policy to ProductCatalogSystem\Groups.
Right-click CatalogPropertyContentEditors, and then click Properties.
On the Members tab, click Add Windows Users and Groups,
In the text box, type the name of the user, and then click OK.
Repeat steps 7-8 for all users.
Note
If you want to prevent certain users from editing property content then you should add these users as non-members of the CatalogPropertyContentEditors group. If you want to restrict a certain property from being edited by all users, you remove the CatalogPropertyContentEditors group from the CatalogPropertyContentEditor role and add only those users who can edit these properties. For example, you might only want domain\user1 and domain\user2 to edit the CostPrice property in a catalog.
