What is the Discount Sort Order?
The order in which award items in the shopper basket are processed affects the total discount the shopper receives. The default sort order in Commerce Server 2009 applies the award to the most expensive item in the basket. This favors the shopper. If the award first applies to the least expensive item, the award favors the site. If you want the default sort order changed, contact your site developer.
