You <em>cannot</em> receive this through components declared in manifests, only by explicitly registering for it with Context#registerReceiver(BroadcastReceiver, IntentFilter) Context.registerReceiver().
The intent has no extra values, use #isSpeakerphoneOn to check whether the speakerphone functionality is enabled or not.
