DWWTWT?: May 16
The warm weather prophesied yesterday came to pass, at least in sufficient measure to allow the deployment of a t-shirt, shorts, and sandals in combination for the first time this season. With such gorgeous weather and a green commuting streak which reaches two months today (forty-one walks, one telecommute, two non-competitive), walking was truly the only reasonable alternative:
Commuting Options Selected since 12 June 2006 | |
---|---|
Mode of Transport | Number of Invocations |
Telecommuted |
38 |
Walked |
204 |
Walked to the Bus |
17 |
Drove |
154 |
None (did not compete) |
92 |
What a day.. Walked is over Drove by 50 for the first time since January 23, 2007, and I got final confirmation of the eventual obsolescence of this series of posts (or perhaps the introduction of additional categories) with my new mobile worker status.
I hope your weekend is absolutely grand.. on Sunday, the boys and I will get to watch the two worst teams in Major League Baseball. Chances are we'll have a good time in spite of the quality of the product on the field. Felix Hernandez is starting for the Mariners, so there's a chance we'll see something special (here in Seattle, many fans greet each other with a hearty, "Happy Felix Day" when his turn in the rotation comes up).
More next week..
