Localizing Microsoft products into Georgian

This new video from the Microsoft Local Language Program tells the story of why it’s important to have translated IT products in Georgian.

Why it matters:

• “When the computer is in my language, it gives me the feeling of identity and I can be at the same time at home and in the world. By having it in Georgian, you become part of the world.”
• “It’s also really good for Georgian language development because when the young generation work only with IT technologies in different languages, not their mother tongue, it stops the progress of their mother tongue”
