Visualizing Travel

Jer Thorp gave a great talk at Thinking Digital today and showed the video above. Jer works for Wired creating what is generally known as Infoporn. Readers of my blog will know I love this stuff. Jer helped me understand why – it’s the cross section between Art, Science and Design and if I’m honest, I suppose I always wanted to be a designer of some kind. Sadly, I’m just not talented enough for that.

The video shows travel information that Jer extracted from tweets of places people were coming from and going to. 

Jer also had one of the best quotes of the conference too saying that Twitter is full of a lot of “rich white person tragedy”…
