The new Hotmail gives you 10gb of attachments
Yesterday we previewed the new Hotmail (aka Windows Live Hotmail). It’s designed to make your inbox experience even better and does more than just add drag and drop of images to your email ;)
It gets some features that I love from Outlook such as conversation view and some incredible stuff like up to 10gb of attachments (400 times Gmail capacity) in one email…wow, I can now send HUGE videos to my family. You can add up to 200 attachments to a single message, each 50mb in size. Oh and you can sync with Exchange Active Sync.
What else? With Office Web Apps integration you can edit Office docs right inside your inbox (which Venture Beat called the “cherry on top”) and with sweep you can clear all the unwanted trash from your inbox. We have IM integrated in to the inbox as well as Facebook, GMail, Yahoo integration. Oh and the photo integration is brilliant – shown in the screenshot below.
Basically it’s choc full of new stuff. I’m loving testing it so stay tuned for more info soon on availability. Check out more at www.hotmailpreview.com

i hope they can just remove the ads that append to any sent message. this is the precondition for me to use any free service: there may be ads to keep the service free but the provider should not emphasize that everything belongs to it. having ads (or what ever you call it) just in your very personal messages does feel cheaper than free.Anonymous

hi Ahmet - you can remove the ads by paying an annual fee.
