Gear– my new headset

It’s been a while since I wrote about any gear so thought I’d do a quick post on my latest Jawbone headset, The Icon. I’ve had the previous two headsets from these guy and with a discount at the AT&T store here on MS Campus I decided it was time to upgrade.

It comes with Noise Assassin 2.5 which is military grade sound reduction and some other nice touches like an on off switch (the old on/off always seem a bit tricky to me). The best part is the MyTalk service though which allows you to customise the greetings on the phone. Gone are a series of beeps to indicate whether your unit it on or off or needs recharging. Now you have a real voice in your ear – in fact several to chose from. I’m currently testing out The Bombshell. Ahem.

As headsets go, it’s tiny and the design it pretty sweet with a few finishes to choose from. I went for the somewhat subtle “hero” design.
