.NET Development for SAP EP: ASUG WebCast on March 2nd

if you are interested in developing content for EP with Visual Studio this will be a good oppt to learn how to do that.
Many architects ask me if they will be able to "drag and drop" portlets from one portal to the other. This is not possible today nor is it on the radar for near future development. Frontend integration always is the least successful method to combine the power of portals. Instead SAP's PDK for .NET could be one way to encapsulate functionallity based on .NET development (MS Office, MS SQL Server, .NET based home grown apps and others) and deploy it to different portals like WebParts in Sharepoint Portal Technologies or iView in SAP Enterprise Portals.

For me this looks like a compelling chance: You are able to host only one development project and deploy to portals of your choice (ok at least in this case SAP EP and Microsoft SPS). But still this will safe a lot of time and money.

Other resources for the PDK for .NET as well as the download can be found on sdn.sap.com.

If I understand this correctly, are you saying that I could design/develop a part using the PDK for .Net and deploy the same solution to both EP and SPS without any changes?
