The next version of Office is here!
A week ago today, at a press event in San Francisco, Steve Ballmer unveiled the new Office and announced a public Customer Preview.
This next release is a bold step for Microsoft and has been described as “the most transformational release” in Office’s history.
The new Office lights up when paired with Windows 8 devices and features a fast and fluid, yet familiar look that responds to touch and pen as naturally as it does to mouse and keyboard. This new release is in the cloud, and your documents are available wherever you go across virtually all your devices. The new Office is social and makes it easy to connect to the people and information you care about. The new Office unlocks new
scenarios in digital note-taking, reading and meetings. To learn more, watch Ballmer’s speech with demos and read about key investment areas, and sign up for the Customer Preview.
We look forward to sharing more details here and on Office Next, in addition to getting your feedback, as we bring the new Office to market.
