NV Interactive - New Zealand Cricket Match Centre Silverlight Web Slice
Anyone who follows me on twitter knows that I’m a huge cricket fan, so it has been particularly enjoyable to work with NV Interactive and New Zealand Cricket on their latest little project.
Australia has just landed on our shores for a nine match series against the blackcaps and it all kicks off tonight in Wellington with the first Twenty20 match.
Going live today in time for tonight's match NV Interactive have launched the new NZC Match Centre IE8 web slice and desktop application to “live score” all of the local domestic and international cricket matches in a single place.
I caught up with Matt Pickering @ NV when I was down in Wellington last week for the Webstock conference where we talked about the project.
If you are using IE8 you can install the Web Slice by dropping down the green web slice icon on the https://blackcaps.co.nz homepage and selecting the NZC Match Centre at the top.
If you are not an IE8 user you can still access the slice here.
It is great to see slices of the web turning into useful desktop applications that have a vector user interface and can scale to any chosen resolution. All we need now is for New Zealand to perform strongly against our Australian comrades.
