Want my job?
I have an awesome and fairly unique job at Microsoft. I get to decide what content ends up in the pages of MSDN Magazine. I get to ship a best-in-its-class product, and I get to do it every month. I get to write in-depth technical articles and code samples that reach hundreds of thousands of developers. I get to work with incredibly talented and brilliant authors, consultants, developers, architects, and the like, both internal to Microsoft and from the broad Microsoft development community. I get to drive innovations into one of the most popular developer Web sites in the world. I get to represent Microsoft and MSDN at conferences and at industry events. I get to provide technical leadership to a diverse team of highly-qualified and motivated individuals working hard to better both their products and themselves. But most importantly, I get to have a direct impact on Microsoft’s customers’ successes with Microsoft development tools and technologies.
Am I bragging? Maybe. But it’s for a good reason. After three and a half terrific years in this job, I’ve decided to change positions within Microsoft. And as a result, we’re looking for someone new to take the reins. Interested? The job description is available at https://members.microsoft.com/careers/search/details.aspx?JobID=97006E74-05DB-4F13-845F-5438771108A5. If you’re a great developer with strong technical and communication skills, with creative ideas about how to use print and online publishing to communicate technical topics to customers, and with a strong desire to influence Microsoft and its community of developers, I urge you to consider applying. You can submit your resume through the careers site; for more information, you can contact us through this blog.

Stephen, I sure hope you continue to write for MSDN even though you won't be Technical Editor. I always read your column first!
