Microsoft Switzerland TechDays 2016 Keynote with Erich Gamma Announced
We are very happy to announce Erich Gamma as a Keynote Speaker for the TechDays 2016! Erich leads the team that builds Visual Studio Code out of Wollishofen, Switzerland. In his keynote, he will be sharing interesting insights into his work.
Visual Studio Code is a lightweight code editor with selected functions of a full IDE, optimized for developing web- and cloud-based solutions. It is in beta since November 2015. It is (and remains) free and runs on OS X, Linux and Windows. And Visual Studio Code is Open Source.
It fully supports web languages such as CSS, HTML, JavaScript, JSON, Less, Sass, TypeScript and C# including refactoring and Intellisense. In total it supports 36 languages with intelligent syntax highlighting.
Visual Studio Code supports Git Code Repositories which is useful for teams of developers.
