Help with misconceptions about eXtreme Programming

There is a lot of hype about agile methods in general and eXtreme Programming in particular, as with many other hot topics in our software industry.

How can this be? We are supposedly the masters of information and knowledge management, bah!

We as industry are just too young!

As with little kids:

Are you ashamed of the wrongdoing of the past (e.g. dot-com era)?...wait to see the evildoing of the future.

 

Like anything else, there are exceptions, and those exceptional teams worth all the effort.
